About Raja Ampat

Explore Raja Ampat,
A True Paradise On Earth

The Raja Ampat translates to “The Four Kings”, located at the northwest tip of New Guinea in Indonesia. Spanning over 600 mostly uninhabited islands, this remote archipelago is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world — truly an untouched paradise.

Our yacht charter trips will take you to hidden beaches and secret bays that are inaccessible by land — places most visitors to Raja Ampat never get to see.

Below the surface lies a vibrant world of marine life — an astonishing variety of fish and coral reefs, like a real-life tropical aquarium. Above water, the scenery is equally stunning: tropical rainforests, dramatic rock formations, and a fantastic array of birds and wildlife.

Best time to visit?

November to April offers perfect weather for exploring this breathtaking destination.

A Day-by-Day Yacht Adventure

Explore Raja Ampat,
Your Personalized Adventure Plan

Day 1 – Arrival in Sorong

Welcome to the gateway of paradise. Upon your arrival at Sorong Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by your yacht crew and transferred to the harbor, just a 20-minute drive. Step aboard your luxury yacht and settle into your cabin as we prepare to depart toward the stunning archipelago of Raja Ampat.

Enjoy a gourmet lunch served on deck as the journey begins. If time allows, we’ll pause for an introductory snorkel or a relaxed check dive before enjoying sundowners beneath the vast Indonesian sky. Dinner will be served under a canopy of stars. Your first magical night at sea.

This morning, we arrive at the southeast end of Misool. Awaken to a shimmering pastel sunrise and indulge in a decadent breakfast on deck. This chain of small islands carves the area into hundreds of narrow channels, concealing hidden lagoons, coves, cliffs, limestone overhangs, caves, and endless pristine beaches. In Raja Ampat’s southernmost region, you’ll spend the next three days exploring Misool’s treasures.

The surrounding dive and snorkel sites are among the best in the world: Boo Windows, Magic Mountain, and more, offering a myriad of exhilarating and serene underwater experiences. Above the water, we will explore the ethereal "Gua Sacral" ancestral caves of Tomolol, an ancient burial site of Indigenous Papuans. Swim through cathedral-like caves adorned with orchids and uncover ancient cave paintings along the crystal-clear waters’ edge.

Powdery sand beaches await your footprints, offering the perfect spot to hunt for shells, picnic in the shallows, or simply unwind. For an extra touch of luxury, enjoy a beach dinner under the stars or a wellness treatment onboard, including massages to refresh and rejuvenate.

The Penemu Islands are a cluster of rocky limestone domes, draped in lush vegetation. These islets encircle a serene green bay, and a scenic walking trail leads to a lookout point with magnificent views of the lagoon, its outlying islands, and the ocean beyond. Nearby, you'll find some of the region's most celebrated norkeling and diving spots, where turtles glide over intricate coral gardens, and manta rays meet large schools of fish in nutrient-rich currents.

For a truly indulgent experience, enjoy a private yachting picnic on one of the secluded beaches, or try paddleboarding or kayaking in the tranquil waters.

Rise at dawn for the best chance to spot the rare Red Bird of Paradise. Accompanied by our cruise director, embark on a 45-minute jungle hike to a birdwatching platform, where you can witness this elusive bird in its natural habitat. After breakfast, enjoy the stunning mushroom-shaped islands of Kabui Bay, marking the entrance to a narrow waterway where strong currents flow with each tide, forming a saltwater river teeming with vibrant coral and fish life.

Take some time to enjoy water activities such as water skiing or a scenic kayak tour along the bay before heading back to the yacht for a delicious meal.

The Wayag Islands are a breathtaking maze of lush green peaks rising from azure waters—truly the quintessential landscape of Raja Ampat. Wayag offers an ideal setting for both water sports and relaxation on pristine beaches. You can climb the island’s peak for panoramic views of turquoise waterways or unwind on a deserted beach, watching the sun dip below the horizon.

For a unique experience, enjoy a beachside dinner with a view of the sunset, or spend the day exploring secluded coves and lagoons by kayak or paddleboard.

Today, we anchor in Wofoh, two islands connected by a shallow reef. This is the perfect spot for beachcombing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Wofoh is also home to a magnificent coral wall that plunges into the crystal-clear water, offering stunning views of brightly colored marine life darting between barrel sponges and vibrant coral formations.

Consider spending the day with a personalized wellness session onboard or take part in a snorkeling excursion to discover the underwater wonders of this pristine location.

Awake to the sound of tropical birds calling from the jungle as we anchor near the Kri Peninsula. Mioskon Bay is a spectacular spot where you can snorkel through mangroves or kayak along the verdant coastline in mirrorstill waters. Known for its abundant fish life and coral reefs, the Kri Peninsula offers some of the most breathtaking underwater vistas in Raja Ampat.

Nearby, the island of Mansuar offers a glimpse into the local culture. Afterward, you can return to the yacht for a relaxing massage or enjoy some leisure time exploring the area’s pristine waters.

Today, we explore the natural beauty of Batanta Island, the smallest of Raja Ampat’s four major islands. After breakfast, embark on a jungle trek to the northern coast to cool off at two picturesque waterfalls. The trek follows riverbeds, providing the opportunity to spot endemic birds and wildlife.

In the afternoon, we head to Sayang Island, where you can relax or enjoy water activities. Paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings are the perfect ways to spend the afternoon. As the day ends, indulge in a sunset dinner by the beach before the yacht embarks on its journey to Sorong.

After a final decadent breakfast on deck, our crew will assist with your disembarkation and transfer you back to the airport for your flight home, marking the end of an unforgettable journey through Raja Ampat.

This is a sample itinerary that may change due to weather, sea conditions, or at the captain’s discretion to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers and crew.

What a Day Feels Like on a Komodo Yacht Charter

From the moment the first sunlight bathes the horizon in soft golds, life aboard your yacht charter in Komodo moves at a rhythm dictated only by nature and your wishes. Imagine stepping barefoot onto teak decks still warm from the sun of the previous day, coffee in hand, as you gaze over a mirror-flat sea with Padar Island on the horizon.

Your private chef is already preparing a tailored breakfast, perhaps tropical fruits, freshly baked pastries, or eggs made to your preference. As you dine al fresco, dolphins might glide beside the yacht, a natural welcome to another day in paradise.

By mid-morning, you have chosen your adventure: snorkelling over untouched reefs teeming with technicolour fish, or perhaps a tender ride to a hidden cove accessible only by sea. The crew discreetly arranges every detail, snorkels laid out, towels prepared, a chilled drink ready upon your return. Everything is effortless.

Back on board, the shaded deck invites an afternoon massage, followed by a light lunch. Maybe today it is grilled mahi-mahi with a zesty sambal, served as you recline under the shade of billowing sails. You are surrounded by silence, except for the soft lap of water and distant birdsong from the cliffs.

Later, you visit a deserted beach. Your yacht’s crew has arranged a private picnic, complete with a daybed and parasols. As the sun sinks, painting the skies in pink and lavender, you toast with champagne and feel that this is not just a holiday; it is a memory being written in real time.

Unseen Excellence: The Crew Behind the Magic

The luxury of a Komodo Island yacht charter is not just in the surroundings, but in the seamless choreography that supports your every moment. Aboard each vessel is a highly trained, discreet crew, often including a cruise director, dive instructor, spa therapist, private chef, and even a naturalist guide.

Their job is to anticipate what you need before you ask. That might mean adjusting your itinerary when dolphins are spotted ahead, or preparing a late-night cinema experience under the stars with handmade popcorn and blankets.

Whether you want to celebrate a birthday with a sunset cake on deck, or simply enjoy solitude with your book on a quiet afternoon, the team quietly adapts the environment to fit your mood.

With every detail flawlessly executed, this is luxury travel at its most intuitive.

Occasions Worth Sailing For

A Komodo luxury yacht rental is often chosen to mark something important: a honeymoon, an anniversary, or even a once-in-a-lifetime family reunion. The privacy, the grandeur, and the personalisation make it the perfect setting for meaningful moments.

Some yachts offer candlelit dinners on uninhabited beaches. Others provide full wellness retreats with onboard yoga instructors and spa therapists. For honeymooners, the romance of a traditional phinisi boat combined with secluded anchorages and candlelit dinners is simply unmatched.
