About Raja Ampat

Hidden Caves, Endless Reefs & Manta Rays

Hidden Caves, Endless Reefs & Manta Rays

Located in a remote area of West Papua, Raja Ampat translates to “The Four Kings”, truly one of the jewels in Indonesia’s crown — a multifaceted gem where mysterious lands and legends meet an unrivaled underwater paradise.

Raja Ampat National Park is an expansive network of islands, with the four main islands being Waigeo, Batanta, Salawati, and Misool. The vast waters of Raja Ampat are known to have one of the highest concentrations of marine biodiversity in the world — a stunning masterpiece of vibrant corals and an extraordinary array of sea life.

For some, the underwater world pales in comparison to the bounty found on land: a birdwatcher’s paradise rich in exotic culture. Traveling to Raja Ampat is a journey unto itself, but it is well worth it!

Best time to visit?

November to April offers perfect weather for exploring this breathtaking destination.

A Day-by-Day Yacht Adventure

Your Customized Raja Ampat Travel Plan

Day 1 – Arrival in Sorong

Welcome to the gateway of paradise. Upon your arrival at Sorong Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by your yacht crew and transferred to the harbor, just a 20-minute drive. Step aboard your luxury yacht and settle into your cabin as we prepare to depart toward the stunning archipelago of Raja Ampat.

Enjoy a gourmet lunch served on deck as the journey begins. If time allows, we’ll pause for an introductory snorkel or a relaxed check dive before enjoying sundowners beneath the vast Indonesian sky. Dinner will be served under a canopy of stars. Your first magical night at sea.

This day will mark the start of your Raja Ampat Adventure in the southern area. Southeast Misool is a place famous for its beautiful coral-draped reefs and a highlight of your Raja Ampat Adventure. The profusion of colorful soft corals and sea fans makes this a haven for the marine animals in the area.

Fiabecet has a number of top-notch luxurious snorkeling dive sites where the corals are outstanding. These sites are Nudi Rock, Fiabecet Whale Rock, and Batu Kecil. Take your pick which site to visit and you will never be disappointed with any of them! All these sites are bursting with schools of fusiliers, surgeons, barracuda, and of course, the friendly batfish. Apart from these, there is a high chance of seeing wobbegong and other friendly sharks.

The islands around Misool are grouped by areas: Balbulol, Daram, Wayilbatan, or Yilliet — each of them with stunning land and sea as well as snorkeling sites.

During our time cruising Misool, we won’t forget to pay a visit to the breathtaking Tomolol Cave to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This huge cavern provides an exciting experience where you can swim through its cavernous insides. The walls are lined up with crystal-encrusted walls and giant stalactites.

Optional Activities:

* Go for a nature trek through Misool's lush forests or visit a local village to learn about the area’s unique culture and way of life.

* Sunset paddleboarding or kayaking, soaking in the serenity of the open waters.

To begin, you will find yourself amidst the North Coast of Kofiau Island in a sheltered anchorage off the secluded village of Deer. This village is a small island separated from Kofiau by a clear channel. Don’t waste any time and explore the area! The turquoise crystal-clear water around these islands is so clear you can see the bottom everywhere.

As the day drifts by, the yacht will take you to the Boo Islands — a group of small paradise. Parrots of stunning colors are the common variety of birds flying by, but you might be lucky to spot seabirds, too. In the evening, we begin our overnight cruise back toward Misool.

To the northwest of New Guinea lies Salawati, one of the least-visited and most ecologically rich islands in Raja Ampat. This hidden gem offers outstanding snorkeling opportunities and a high chance of discovering newly identified species.

Spend the day exploring untouched beaches, vibrant reefs, or simply relax onboard. For a more serene experience, indulge in a Wellness & Spa session on board, with a soothing massage to unwind after a day of adventure. Weather permitting, we’ll cap off the day with a beach bonfire as the sun sets over this remote paradise.

In the late afternoon, your luxury yacht sets course for Sorong, cruising overnight.

Enjoy your final breakfast on deck as we arrive in Sorong. Our crew will assist with your disembarkation and transfer you to the airport for your onward journey—leaving with memories of a voyage unlike any other.

What a Day Feels Like on a Komodo Yacht Charter

From the moment the first sunlight bathes the horizon in soft golds, life aboard your yacht charter in Komodo moves at a rhythm dictated only by nature and your wishes. Imagine stepping barefoot onto teak decks still warm from the sun of the previous day, coffee in hand, as you gaze over a mirror-flat sea with Padar Island on the horizon.

Your private chef is already preparing a tailored breakfast, perhaps tropical fruits, freshly baked pastries, or eggs made to your preference. As you dine al fresco, dolphins might glide beside the yacht, a natural welcome to another day in paradise.

By mid-morning, you have chosen your adventure: snorkelling over untouched reefs teeming with technicolour fish, or perhaps a tender ride to a hidden cove accessible only by sea. The crew discreetly arranges every detail, snorkels laid out, towels prepared, a chilled drink ready upon your return. Everything is effortless.

Back on board, the shaded deck invites an afternoon massage, followed by a light lunch. Maybe today it is grilled mahi-mahi with a zesty sambal, served as you recline under the shade of billowing sails. You are surrounded by silence, except for the soft lap of water and distant birdsong from the cliffs.

Later, you visit a deserted beach. Your yacht’s crew has arranged a private picnic, complete with a daybed and parasols. As the sun sinks, painting the skies in pink and lavender, you toast with champagne and feel that this is not just a holiday; it is a memory being written in real time.

Unseen Excellence: The Crew Behind the Magic

The luxury of a Komodo Island yacht charter is not just in the surroundings, but in the seamless choreography that supports your every moment. Aboard each vessel is a highly trained, discreet crew, often including a cruise director, dive instructor, spa therapist, private chef, and even a naturalist guide.

Their job is to anticipate what you need before you ask. That might mean adjusting your itinerary when dolphins are spotted ahead, or preparing a late-night cinema experience under the stars with handmade popcorn and blankets.

Whether you want to celebrate a birthday with a sunset cake on deck, or simply enjoy solitude with your book on a quiet afternoon, the team quietly adapts the environment to fit your mood.

With every detail flawlessly executed, this is luxury travel at its most intuitive.

Occasions Worth Sailing For

A Komodo luxury yacht rental is often chosen to mark something important: a honeymoon, an anniversary, or even a once-in-a-lifetime family reunion. The privacy, the grandeur, and the personalisation make it the perfect setting for meaningful moments.

Some yachts offer candlelit dinners on uninhabited beaches. Others provide full wellness retreats with onboard yoga instructors and spa therapists. For honeymooners, the romance of a traditional phinisi boat combined with secluded anchorages and candlelit dinners is simply unmatched.

A yacht charter in Komodo turns special occasions into cherished memories.
